Animal Welfare at Christmas Time

Unfortunately, an increase in animal welfare cases can be seen at Christmas time. It is essential that vets and nurses are properly prepared to assist in animal abuse and welfare cases. The Forensic Process, a 16-hour online course for vets and an 8-hour course for nurses, is now available on Vetacademy. Developed by Dr Samantha Pickles (Lead Forensic Scientist with Forensic Access) and Dr David Martin (Veterinary Surgeon with the Brownlow Vet Group), it’s aim is to support delegates in managing and recognising cases requiring forensic involvement.
